University Taster Courses for S4/5 Pupils: If you are interested in getting a taster for university whilst in S4/5 and thinking about studing within the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics fields, please see Mr Ferguson in the Guidance Base.

Engineering Boys Residential: Any S4 boy interested in Engineering who would like to attend a 3-day Residential at Caledonian University, should see Mr Ferguson in the Guidance Base.

15-16 year old Girls’ Inspire Course:   If you are a 15-16 year old girl who is interested in studying Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics at university, please see Mr Ferguson in the Guidance Base.

Girls Rugby: Girls of all ages are invited to come along to training on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 – 6pm on the 3G. First session will be on Tuesday 24th January. More details from Mr May

Dance Show Meeting: There will be a meeting at break on Monday in the small gym for all who are taking part in the annual dance show. Any new dancers are most welcome. Full attendance is required please!

HPV vaccinations on Wednesday 25th January – S1 & S2 Girls:  The school Nurse Service will be in school on Wednesday 25th January to administer the HPV vaccination. Please ensure you wear a white shirt that has short sleeves, or vest top/T shirt should be worn under your shirt to ensure the vaccination can be administered easily.

Interested in studying Medicine? If you are in S3, 4 or 5 and are interested in studying medicine please pop in to guidance this week for info on an excellent opportunity. Thanks.

Dance Club: Due to seniors having prelims this week we will need to postpone dance club starting until next Monday. Please be assured we are all set to start preparing for the show and the dates are booked for late March. Rotary Club Leadership Residential Course: Currie & Balerno Rotary club have offered us two places, free of charge, for one boy and one girl to attend a residential course in Abernethy focusing on developing leadership qualities. This takes place in July 2017. This is an excellent opportunity and will equip you with skills to help undertake leadership roles such as coaches/ captains in sport, positions of responsibility in school and also looks very good in applications. If interested please pop in to guidance this week for more details. This is most suitable for S4 pupils, but the criteria states 15-17 years old.
