GAP YEAR FAIR – MONDAY 13 MARCH 2017 4.30 PM – 6.00 PM – Heriot’s is hosting the Inspiring Futures Gap Fair on Monday 13 March from 4.30 – 6.00 pm. This will provide information and advice for students (and parents) on skills courses from learning to sail, acquiring business skills or preparing for medical school, to volunteering and travel experiences such as marine conservation projects in Fiji or teaching orphaned children in South America. NHS Modern Apprenticeships – A large number of NHS Modern Apprenticeships have been advertised. Please see the school website for further details.

Balerno Fairtrade Village Group are running an event on Saturday 4th March called “Take a Fairtrade Break in Balerno”.  The event runs from 1000-1200 in St Joseph’s Church and they are looking for volunteers to help with setting up, supervising tables, supplying refreshments, supervising kids table and much more.  They would be very grateful for any time you could spare, even if it’s just an hour!  For more information speak to Denise Young in the Community Education office (outside LRC) or turn up on the day and ask for Lesley Henderson.  Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Biology study support – this is cancelled on Thursday after school due to teacher commitments. Sorry folks. Will continue as normal next week.

Wednesday Break– There will be a dance meeting in the gym on Wednesday at break we are on the countdown to show and full attendance is required at all meetings & rehearsals.

Scripture Union – Scripture Union will be in the huts at lunchtime today.

S1-S6: Maths Lunchtime Supported Study: Anyone needing a little extra help with maths, pop into G12 Wednesdays from 1.10pm for extra practice. Feel free to bring your lunch along.

PE Supported Study – Would you like help and advice with your Nat 5 or Higher PE? Come along to the PE Department on a Wednesday lunchtime if you would like help with your portfolio, exam, preparation for one of your one off performances or anything else!
