S1-S3 Music Club – Meet Every Monday at 1:15 in F9. Come along to the music department to play the songs that you would like to play as a group. Run by Balerno High pupils. Play your favorite songs with other people. All genres included. First meeting on Monday the 9th of October. No musical experience needed!

Pathway to Mixed Martial Arts – Held at Currie High School from 4 until 5pm on Thursdays in the sports hall. This is for S1 to S6, male or female, new or experienced. You are welcome whether you are interested in supplementing an existing martial training from elsewhere, wish to learn something more diverse or are interested in having fun exercising with friends old and new.

S6 Paired Reading – Can S6 pupils who are supporting the Paired Reader programme please remember to register at F41 before collecting their S1 or S2 peer from class. This is an important part of the process and should be done every time you collect a pupil for Paired Reading.

LRC- The LRC will be closed at break and lunchtime until Monday.

Lost property – There are some blazers, PE kits, headphones and many other items in lost property in the Print Room. Please come along before Friday 13 October to check if you think anything may be yours. Any items left after this date will be recycled!

Senior Rugby
Any senior pupils interested in doing their UKCC Level 1 Rugby Coaching Award should give their names to Mr May.

PSE w/b 2nd Oct – This is a reminder for all pupils next week. PSE will be taught by cover teachers, as we have discussed in lessons please ensure you bring homework/ study resources or a book to read. No work on mobile phones will be accepted!

Hockey Club: There is a hockey meeting for all boys and girls on Friday break in the Games Hall. New members are very welcome.

P.E Mouthguards -We will have a dentist visit the school on Wednesday 25th October to take impressions to make customised mouthguards for hockey and rugby (and any other sport you’d like to use them for). The cost for this is £25.
If you would like to sign up to get a mouthguard please give your name to the PE department.

Football Teams
All boys playing and training with school teams this season must collect a letter from Mr May and return the information slip attached to it as soon as possible. Please make sure you do this plus hand in your EE2 to the school office and pay your club subscription to ensure that you can play!

Career Ready Year 1 pupils – This Friday you have the Career Ready launch event at the Edinburgh international conference centre starting at 2pm. You will need to arrive at 1.45 to register. This is an important event and where you will get to meet your mentor.
