LRC – Pupils should not use the LRC at breaktime or lunchtime this week.

Scottish Schools Cross Country – Any pupils interested in the Scottish School’s Cross Country event please give their names to Mr McKenna by the 26th of January.

For S5/6 – Parents Evening – There will be a meeting in F09 on Monday 22nd January at 12.10 to discuss the final arrangements for the S3 parents evening. All prefects and S5s involved should attend. Any S5 or S6 pupil who is available and would like to help on the evening, should also attend.

Dance – Numbers have been very low at rehearsals and meetings. Can I please remind all dancers that ALL lunch and after school classes are on as normal. Attendance is vital. If numbers do not increase I will be forced to cancel the show. We had 16 pupils at today’s meeting. There is another meeting scheduled for Wednesday 24th at break in the small gym. Full attendance is required please. New members are always welcome!

Scottish Schools Aquathlon Championships – This competition involves a race in which competitors swim and then run. There are Individual and mixed team relay aquathlons for teams of 4.
S1/2 = 300m swim, 2km run
S3/4 = 400m swim, 3km run
S5/6 = 500m swim, 4km run
The Mixed Team Relay: 200m swim and 1km run per athlete in a girl, boy, girl, boy format.
Any pupil interested in competing in this even at Stirling University in April should speak to Mr May for more details.

Try Boxing taster Session- Any S1 – S6 living in the Ratho area interested in attending a one off Try Boxing session on Monday 22nd January at Ratho Community Centre from 6 – 7pm should sign up at Ratho Library. This session will be led by Rab McEwen who is Head Coach at Clovenstone Boxing Club. It is hoped that if there is enough interest more sessions will be organised.

Career Information – Sky Livingston are having a Technology Apprenticeship Insight Afternoon 6 February 2018 2 pm – 4 pm Tech Taster afternoon at Sky is your opportunity, if you are 16-24 year old, to find out about all the cool things that happen in our Technology departments. You don’t have to be a tech wiz, they are looking for enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Why not go along to find out more, you may not have thought about a career in Technology, come along to find out all the cool things they do.

JC Futures is a 6 year training programme starting Summer 2018.
The first year involves transition from school and settling into the workplace. Working with you to develop your basic #accounting skills and this culminates in you achieving a Certificate in Bookkeeping. Following the introductory year they then consider the most appropriate studies for you to follow with options including ICAS, ACCA, AAT and ATT.
