Jeans for Genes day: Reminder that jeans for genes day is today, please donate £1 to swap your school trousers for jeans. Pupils are still expected to wear shirt and tie.


London Trip – All pupils that are going to London in October please attend a meeting in F44 at break on Wednesday. It is important that you attend as we will have information regarding the trip.


STEAM Club: STEAM club is starting for junior years on Tuesday 25/9/18 in G28 at lunch time.

We are also looking for higher/ advanced higher students studying STEAM subjects to come along and help out with the club. Any senior students wishing to help should come along to our first session or see us at lunchtime.


S1 Malleny pupils must meet in F10 on Monday at breaktime to discuss residential dorms.

Mouthguards: A local dentist will provide the opportunity to buy a custom made dental mouthguard at a reduced fee. This is on Wednesday 26th September at a reduced cost of £15.  If you would like a dental mouthguard, please give your name to the PE department, by Friday  21st Sept.



Chess Club – All years welcome! Come along to Chess club in G34 at Lunchtime on Wednesdays.



S1 – S3 Triathlon

Any pupils interested in trying out Triathlon are welcome to sign up to take part in a couple of taster events. The first one is a Duathlon (Bike and Run) which will be on Friday 26th October.

The second event will be an Aquathlon (Swim and Run) in March.

Edinburgh & Midlothian Schools Swimming Championships – Any pupil wanting to enter the Edinburgh and Midlothian Schools Swimming Championships should speak to Mr May in the PE department. Swimmers can participate in a maximum of two events plus the relay. All entrants must meet the qualifying standard times. The event takes place on Sunday 18th November at Ainslie Park Leisure Centre. More details available from Mr May.
