Apprenticeship Hairdressing Opportunity – Any senior looking for an opportunity to gain an apprenticeship in hairdressing should see Mr Ferguson in the Guidance Base after the October holiday.

S6 Malleny UCAS – All personal statements which were handed in by the deadline of Friday 5th October have been marked and are on the Guidance Base door. Please ensure these are collected and worked on over the October week. If you did not make the deadline I expect copies of personal statements to be ready for after the holiday week. Thanks.

Bavelaw Creative Competition – Congratulations to the winners of last month’s creative competition,  Katie MacDonald 1B1 and Max Glover 4B1, whose artwork is now on the Bavelaw board.  This month, the competition continues with a new theme of ‘spooky’ and categories of art and photography.  Enties must be in by Friday 2nd November and this month’s winners will earn points for their house and a prize.

Craft Club – Please note that Craft Club will not meet on Wednesday of this week as staff are away at S1 residential.  Look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday lunchtime after the holidays.

Lost Property – If you have lost anything, please come along and check lost property in the print room. There are lots of items including jackets and if anything is left at the start of the October break this will be given to charity.

STEAM Club: Due to the popularity of STEAM club we now ask pupils to sign up in advance to ensure a place. You can still come along without signing up but if we are full then we may need to turn you away that week. The signup sheet can be found on the door of Mr Scade’s classroom G38 on a Thursday and Friday. STEAM club will now run out of G38, please come along at Tuesday lunchtime at 1.15.

Craft Club – meeting again this Wednesday lunchtime, in F29. It was great to see everybody who came last week – we are ready to start creating! All welcome
