Hockey Tour Meeting: All players going on tour must come to a meeting today at break today in the Games Hall.

S6 Yearbook Photos – Can all S6’s please go to the S6 area at some point during the day on Thursday 13th December to have their yearbook photo taken. Please wear school uniform. It will run all day, including tutor time for people who don’t have free periods. If you have more than one free period that day please try and be flexible for those who only have one free period and need their photo taken in a specific period. If you aren’t in school on Thursday please let Harriet, Jemma, Rohaan or another member of the yearbook committee know so we can arrange another day to have them taken, likewise, if you don’t want your photo taken let one of us know so we can cross your name off the list.

What a disaster ! – Disaster Film Club will not run today (Thursday 13th December) as it clashes with the staff Christmas lunch.  We will finish our current film next week (20th December) and choose a new one for coming back in 2019.  Thank you

Zoology Club – Zoology Club is cancelled on Thursday the 13th. However, it will definetely be on, on Thursday the 20th! Remember to get ready for the Big Quiz!

National 5 & Higher Art & Design Practical Support – Tuesday after school – 3:30pm – 4:45pm (starting after Christmas) & ALL lunchtimes, Miss Simpson’s room, 12 weeks until hand in!


Modern Languages Department – We are running a little language quiz open to all pupils during Advent.

Each day of Advent there is a different language used to wish you greetings for the festive season on Coffee Break Languages. You can access these via Youtube or via the Modern Language Twitter feed.

All you have to do is tune in every day to find out the language being used that day. There will be a prize for the best entries in each year group. How many will you get right? Greetings will also be displayed on the notice board in the concourse.  Closing date is Friday 21st December, last day of term or first day back of the new term if you are really keen to get all 24. Christmas Carol Concert – The Christmas Carol Concert will take place on Monday 17th December at 7pm in the concourse.  Tickets will go on sale  Monday 10th December until Friday 14th December from the downstairs reception.  Tickets are priced £5.00.  No tickets can be purchased on the evening of the concert.

This Christmas, the Cockburn house elves are selling our festive candy canes. We will be selling them on Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes in the reception rea. They will cost 50p each but if you’re feeling especially merry you can grab 3 for £1. We will be continuing throughout December, so get yourself down to reception and spread the Christmas cheer by lighting up your special someone’s day with a candy cane!
