Eco Project – Todays class for litter picking is 3D1 with A Sparks

S6 Numeracy Ambassadors – Could the Numeracy ambassadors please attend a short meeting today at break time in G12?

Pupils for School Catchment Review meetingS6 year heads to attend as well. The meeting is taking place in G05 (Beside Mr Wilson Business management room)

Netball Club: Reminder to all girls in the netball club to please bring items for the hampers by no later than Thursday break time. All tickets sold should also be given to Miss McCaig by Thursday break. Unfortunately, netball training after school will not be on however we will draw the raffle during LUNCH TIME on Thursday. Please come to PE department at 1.30pm and we will do the draw then. Any questions, don’t hesitate to come and ask Miss McCaig.

Lost property – There are many items in lost property (including lots of jackets) in the Print Room.  Please come along before Thursday 20 December 2018 to check if you think anything may be yours.  Any items left after this date will be recycled!

Modern Languages Department – We are running a little language quiz open to all pupils during Advent.  Each day of Advent there is a different language used to wish you greetings for the festive season on Coffee Break Languages. You can access these via Youtube or via the Modern Language Twitter feed.

All you have to do is tune in every day to find out the language being used that day. There will be a prize for the best entries in each year group. How many will you get right? Greetings will also be displayed on the notice board in the concourse.  We are on day 18 now. Which ones wish Happy New Year instead? Spot prizes for getting those right. Closing date is Friday 21st December, last day of term or first day back of the new term if you are really keen to get all 24.

National 5 & Higher Art & Design Practical Support – Tuesday after school – 3:30pm – 4:45pm (starting after Christmas) & ALL lunchtimes, Miss Simpson’s room, 12 weeks until hand in!

This Christmas, the Cockburn house elves are selling our festive candy canes. We will be selling them on Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes in the reception area. They will cost 50p each but if you’re feeling especially merry you can grab 3 for £1. We will be continuing throughout December, so get yourself down to reception and spread the Christmas cheer by lighting up your special someone’s day with a candy cane!

SCOTTISH SPACE SCHOOL @ STRATHCLYDE 2019 – The 2019 Scottish Space School @ Strathclyde residential summer school will be held at the University of Strathclyde from 9-14 June 2019 and applications are now being invited via the online application system.  Now in its 16th year at the University, the Scottish Space School continues to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists and is aimed at S5 pupils in Scotland currently studying Maths and Science subjects at Higher level. I would be grateful if you could please inform pupils in this year group at your school of the opportunity to apply for Space School.  Applications must be made online and further information and the online application form is available at:
