S6 Career Ready – All students missed the meeting with me at lunchtime on Monday. You MUST come and see me on Wednesday lunchtime at 1.30pm or you may not graduate from this programme.
S1 Girls Hockey Meeting: There is an S1 hockey meeting in the games hall at break today. All S1 players must attend.
S1/S2 Boys Rugby – Rugby is on this week (Thursday 31st January) and next week (Thursday 7th February) from 3.45 – 4.45pm.
Scottish Schools Aquathlon Championships – Any pupil wishing to sign up to participate in this event in Glenrothes at the end of April should peak to Mr May asap for more details. There are races for individuals and teams and all races involve a swim followed by a run.
Dates of Challenge Week 2019 – For information: the actual dates of Challenge Week 2019 are Wednesday the 26th and Thursday the 27th and not the 27th and 28th as previously stated.
Lost Property – There are many items in the lost property cupboard and also many jackets and blazers on a rail in the Print Room. Please come along before Thursday 31 January 2019 to check if you think anything may be yours. Any items left after this date will be recycled!
Balerno Parish Church – Are you planning to travel abroad in 2019 to take part in voluntary work for the benefit of disadvantaged communities? If you are under 25 and live in or near Balerno, you can now apply for a bursary if £500 to help with the travel costs involved. The bursary is offered by Balerno Parish Church to commemorate the life and work of Rev Louise Duncan, former minister at the Church. Details of the conditions and application procedure are available from the Church website (http://www.balernochurch.org.uk/), where an application form can be downloaded.
