Mr Mann Whole school assembly: We will be having a whole school assembly on Friday to celebrate Mr Mann’s life. If you wish to share a memory, have a presentation shared, do a reading that reflects your memory of Mr Mann, please speak to your guidance teacher or speak to Mrs Coffey, Ms Ranger or Mr McCallum.

School Buses: The school buses will continue to be parked on Bavelaw road at the end of the school day, due to the ongoing road works at the front of the school. Please leave by the rear of the school and exit through to Bavelaw road until further notice. Those pupils in one of the minibuses or taxis should leave by the front of the school to be picked up as normal.

Eco Project – Todays class for litter picking is 4M1 with Miss Wright.

Use of social spaces at lunchtime: We are aware inside social areas are very busy at lunchtimes so we are zoning certain areas for specific year groups.

As from this week to eat and socialise:

  • S1/2 should only use the Riverside
  • S3/4/5 should only use the concourse
  • S6 should only use their social area

Change of Course: The process for changing courses is now complete.  If you have any doubts regarding your current choices, you must speak to Mrs Coffey by the end of this week.  No changes will be approved as of Monday 2nd September.

Loch Lomond Fieldtrip: Can all National 5 and Higher Geographers confirm their place on this trip by making the £10 payment on parent pay. The trip will run on Tuesday 17th September. Any issues please come and speak to Mr. Hamilton or Mrs. Harvey-Jamieson.

S2 Ski Trip January 2020: All S2 pupils going on the January 2020 ski trip to Italy must attend a meeting in Mr Cheyne’s room (G11) on Thursday 29th August at 1.30pm. Everybody MUST attend.

Going, going gone: Scotland’s wildlife in danger? The Green Pencil Award is a creative writing competition open to pupils in S1-S3. Entries can be a story or poem, as long as you write imaginatively about Scotland’s wildlife. Your entry should be no longer than one side of A4 paper. Please see Mrs Timoney in the LRC if you are interested.

Scripture Union Group (SU) Is on today for all S1 – S6 at lunchtime in F10. Bring your lunch and join us for a time of exploring the Christian faith through various interactive media. All welcome.
