Voter Registration – S4, S5 and S6 pupils: Today (5th March) we will have the staff from the Electoral roll in school to support any pupils in S4,5,6, that are 16 years of age, to register to vote, if you are not already registered.

They will be located in the library during period 5 and teachers will release you at the following times;

PE – 12.15 – 12.30

PSE – 12.30 – 12.45

English 12.45 – 13.00

S6 Photographs: The school photographer will be in school on Monday 9th March to take individual and group photographs of all S6 pupils.

Please ensure you are wearing full school uniform, including your blazer.

Make your way to the concourse at the start of period 3 for your individual photograph and the group photo will be taken outside period 4 (weather dependant).

World Book Day: It’s World Book Day today!  Remember to pick up your token from the LRC and use it to claim your free WORLD BOOK DAY BOOK, or £1 off a book or audiobook costing £2.99 or more at your local bookseller.

Competition Time S1-S3: To celebrate World Book Day please come along to the LRC and have a look at some of the new books. S1s can take part in the Roald Dahl quiz, while S2/S3 can try a more challenging quiz. Entries to be in by Thursday 12th March. Prizes for 1st correct entry for each quiz drawn on Friday 13th March. 

S1 Dodgeball Tournament: A dodgeball tournament will be taking place on the 9 March at lunchtime.  If you are interested sign-up sheets will be available in reception from today, 2 March to Friday, 6 March.  The Dodgeball Tournament will cost £1.00 per person and the deadline to sign up will be Friday, 6 March.  All proceeds are going to Mr Mann’s charity SANDS.

Scottish Schools Aquathon Friday 24 April: This event takes place in April in Glenrothes and includes individual and team competitions in which competitors complete a swim and a run.

S1/2 – 250m swim and 2km run

S3/4 – 400m swim and 3km run

S5/6 – 500m swim and 4km run

If you are keen to enter the event, please speak to Mr May asap!

Film Clubs Tuesday/Thursday: Due to lack of numbers and the proximity of SQA exams my disaster film clubs on a Tuesday and Thursday will now stop.

Geography Supported study will now run all the way up to the exams in April.
