Scottish Youth Climate Summit: Would you like to part of the Scottish Youth Climate Summit to connect with young people (11-26), learn from experts and create Scotland’s Youth Climate Declaration in advance of COP26?

This is an online event on Saturday 20th October where you can hop in and out of workshops on topics such as:

  • Biodiversity
  • Energy & renewables

  • Rural & islands

Green Pencil Award 2021: This creative writing competition for  S1-S3 closes next Friday. We challenge you to think if you were an animal, a bird, a plant or even a mountain river in Scotland, what would be your story about Climate change? Perhaps you just want to tell us what experiences you are going through, and if we don’t tackle Climate Change, what does the future look like in 2030? Give your entries on one side of A4 paper to Mrs Timoney in the LRC by Thursday next week.

Scottish Schools Young Writer of the Year 2021/22: The non-fiction writing competition is open to all pupils in Scottish schools who are aged 15 to 18 on the closing date for entries of Thursday 16 December 2021.

Once again, generous financial prizes will be awarded to the winning author and to two runner-up authors. All highly commended and commended writers will also receive a gift voucher. If you are interested please speak to Ms Brown in F32.

Lost Property: There are many items in the lost property including jackets, shoes, water bottles, etc. Please pop up to the print room or office at break or lunch if you think any items may be yours.  Anything left on Friday will be recycled.
