Please leave by the rear of the school and exit through to Bavelaw road until further notice. Those pupils in one of the minibuses or taxis should leave by the front of the school to be picked up as normal.

Leaver Opportunities: A reminder to all S5/6 pupils who are looking for apprenticeships/ jobs, etc. that the Edinburgh Guarantee is posted on the school website and put on the board across from the Guidance Base every week. This week’s opportunities include travel consultancy, IT, Business and Admin Modern Apprenticeships with initial salaries ranging from £13000 to £20000 p.a. First plan is to tidy up the courtyard area between the science labs. Other plans include planting seeds, growing veg, making use of the greenhouse and having fun while improving the environment of the school. Meet at G33 (Goldfish bowl) every Tuesday lunchtime – all welcome!

If your child is LEAPS eligible, or thinks they might be, please ensure they fill out the survey on leaspsurvey.org by Thursday 22nd August at the latest. Interviews will be on Monday – Wednesday. More info can be found on www.leaps.org.uk

Thanks for your help.

If your child is applying through the UCAS process to do medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry or to Oxford or Cambridge the internal deadline for their application is the 8th October. To meet this deadline they must attend a meeting in the LRC during Key Adult time on Friday 23rd August, where they will begin an accelerated UCAS process.
