Young Enterprise Bake Sale – For all pupils – come along this breaktime as there will be an irresistible bake sale raising money for Balerno High Schools Young Enterprise Team! Prices will be 50p and the event will be held in the concourse. Cookies will be available.

Tracking reports – all year groups -You will receive your first tracking report today.
All pupils should make their way to their PSP class 15 minutes before the end of period 3 so reports can be issued before break.
Parents/carers are receiving an email to let them know the reports are in your bags.

You are welcome whether you are interested in supplementing an existing martial training from elsewhere, wish to learn something more diverse or are interested in having fun exercising with friends old and new.

Career Ready Year 1 pupils – This Friday you have the Career Ready launch event at the Edinburgh international conference centre starting at 2pm. You will need to arrive at 1.45 to register. This is an important event and where you will get to meet your mentor.

Positive Realities – Rebecca from Positive Realities will be at the reception area at the bottom of the stairs during lunchtime today. Positive Realities is an Edinburgh based charity which provides one to one support, life coaching, social groups, and workshops to support young people transitioning into adulthood. Pop by to see her to find out more or just stop for a chat.

Balerno Village Screen are showing ‘Sing Street’ (12A), a Dublin based coming-of-age film as part of the Balerno Music Festival. Gender and Sexuality Alliance Group -There is an event on Friday at Portobello High School running from 2.30-4.30pm for any pupils who may be interested in finding out more about what schools can do to help and support pupils who identify as LGBTI+. There will be a talk from LGBT youth Scotland and presentations from pupils across the city who have been successful in creating GSA groups and events to support young people in Scotland. If you are interested in maybe coming along to this, please note your interest with Miss Caddow before the end of the day. You can note your interest anonymously.

Under 14 Rugby
Well done to the S1 and S2 boys who took part in the first Emerging Schools festival at Murrayfield last week. We are currently leading the completion! Any players who would like to play in the next round of this competition on Friday 29th September at Forrester Rugby Club please speak to Mr May.
